BayCare is currently in search of our newest Cytotechnologist at Mease Countryside Hospital to join the laboratory team who is passionate about providing outstanding patient care and customer service to the community we serve.  We offer a total reward package including:

Responsibilities:

• Performs cytotechnology testing
• Assists with cytology preparation of specimens and fine needle aspirations
• Classifies and evaluates specimens referring to pathologists
• Maintains equipment, supplies, and instrumentation
• Works independently and in a team
• Demonstrate organizational, time management, interpersonal, written, and verbal skills
• Use computer skills appropriate to position
• Needs to use and understand medical terminology
• Other duties as assigned

Certification & Licensure:

• Required - ASCP - State of Florida

 Education:

• Required - Bachelor's in related field
• Bachelor's requirement can be waived if certified prior to 1985

Experience:

• Preferred - 2 years Cytology experience

BayCare Health System, Pathology Services-MCH

Location: Mease Countryside

Status: Full Time, Exempt: No

Shift Hours: 8:00AM-4:30PM

Shift: Shift 1

Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings,  3 = Nights,  4 = Varies

Weekend Work: None

On Call: No
