The Division of Neurobehavioral Health in the NeuroDevelopmental Science Center is recruiting for a full-time pediatric/child clinical psychologist to join our team. The NeuroDevelopmental Science Center combines the disciplines of Neurobehavioral Health (central nervous system specialized psychologists and neuropsychologists), Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics to form the only center of its kind in the state of Ohio. The Center's vision is to provide exceptional care and value that enriches the quality of life for young people and families affected by neurological and neurodevelopmental disorders. The primary role of the psychologist will be conducting autism evaluations and working with the team on developing care pathways and implementing evidence-based interventions for those with autism and developmental disabilities. The interdisciplinary team currently consists of psychology, psychometry, developmental-behavioral pediatrics, and rehabilitation services and evaluates a wide age range of patients, from toddlers to older adolescents.
There are excellent clinical, quality improvement, teaching, and research opportunities, including collaboration with pediatric neuropsychologists and psychologists, physicians, nurses and other health care professionals as members of the multidisciplinary team. Academic appointment appropriate to rank is provided through Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED), and all licensed psychologists are members of the Medical Staff at Akron Children's Hospital and serve on hospital committees. Supervision, teaching, and training of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in neuropsychology (APPCN) and psychology (APPIC), pediatric medical residents, developmental behavioral pediatrics fellows, and child psychiatry fellows are integral components of position responsibilities. Protected time for research and education/training, depending on the applicant's area(s) of interest, is available. The candidate must be licensed or license-eligible in the state of Ohio.

Requirements: Ph.D. or Psy.D. in child clinical psychology/pediatric psychology including completion of an internship in an APA/CPA-accredited child psychology/pediatric psychology program, eligibility for licensure in Ohio, and completion of a formal one-year Pediatric Psychology Post-Doctoral Fellowship (APPIC-accredited preferred).
