About This Position
ChristianaCare is looking for an experienced leader to support our organizational mission and to further enhance the capabilities of our accounting and finance team. The primary responsibility of this role includes overseeing the month end financial close and reporting process for the Medical Group at ChristianaCare. Other key responsibilities include performing financial planning and analysis related to operational budgets, new providers / physician practices and physician performance metrics. Some responsibilities include:
- Leads the month-end close process for the Medical Group, including the production of accurate and timely financial statements.
- Provides financial analysis related to the monthly operating results of the Medical Group, including highlighting trends of key financial indicators and opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee the net patient revenue and accounts receivable valuation model for the Medical Group.
- Directs and participates in the development of accounting policies and procedures / internal controls related to the Medical Group.
- Works closely with the Business Planning team to understand new business plans, pro formas and lookback analysis related to the Medical Group.
Please note, this is a hybrid work schedule with a combination of weekly in-office and remote working needs.
Desired candidates will possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting (Master's degree in related field and/or professional certification is strongly desired). 7-10 years of professional experience related to accounting and financial analysis is required as well as healthcare / physician practice experience. Experience in large, highly matrixed organizations preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
