SUBFUNCTION DEFINITION: Provides secretarial/administrative support to employees or groups in the organization. Uses business software applications (e.g., word processing, presentation and spreadsheet) to prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, minutes, etc. Receives, screens and directs incoming calls, visitors, mail and email. Maintains files, records, calendars and diaries. May arrange business travel, coordinate meeting arrangements, and/or track expenses
SCOPE: Provides general business support for routine functions.
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
Communication Answer, screen and direct incoming telephone calls and e-mail messages. Greet and direct visitors to the department.
Administration Perform administrative tasks such as filing, copying, and data entry.
Materials and Supplies Stock and maintain supplies within the department. May transport correspondence, files or supplies to other departments.
Project Support Perform a variety of tasks related to supporting departmental projects.

High school diploma or equivalent
