Schedule: Part-Time

Shift: 8AM to 7PM, two 10-hour shifts per week; opportunity for additional hours by floating to other locations

The community you’ll be caring for: Neuro Occupational Therapy Patients

Location: 400 Celebration Place - Suite C200, Celebration, FL 34747; ability to float to other clinics

The role you’ll contribute:

When you join our team of over 40 Outpatient Clinics across Central Florida, you will be part of a winning team of experts dedicated to whole-person care to help our patients heal, strengthen and renew.  We serve patients  Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Polk, Volusia, Flagler and Lake Counties with a dedicated Team of therapists, clinicians  and staff  willing to carry on AdventHealth’s mission in the communities we serve.  

As an Occupational Therapist with AdventHealth Sports Med & Rehab, you will provide direct and indirect services to specific age groups in our clinic. You will utilizes process improvement in achieving the goals of the Sports Med & Rehab Department.  You will practice autonomously and collaboratively in all practice environments to provide best practice to the each patient/client, every time.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Determines Occupational Therapy Diagnosis and establishes plan of care, make recommendations for referral if treatment needed outside of scope of Occupational Therapist practice.
• Assesses patient ability to safely and effectively perform functional mobility skills, activities of daily living skills and evaluate muscle, nerve, joint, and integumentary systems.
• Designs and implements a treatment plan of care utilizing practice standards and recommended techniques and modalities, insurance guidelines, and patient’s needs. Monitors patient’s response and progress to treatment and modifies treatment plan as appropriate.
• Documents and charges accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology, following standards of practice, insurance guidelines and department/hospital policies and procedures.
• Does discharge planning and provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of equipment and follow up services.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications:

• Demonstration of at least entry level professional competency of Occupational Therapy practice, theory, principles and applications as defined in competencies departmental policy.
• Licensed in the State of Florida as an Occupational Therapist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Basic computer skills to include Outlook, Microsoft Office, and Windows

Preferred qualifications:

• Ability to float to other clinics
