We are currently hiring for a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to work on the Vascular Interventional Radiology Unit within Heart & Vascular Interventional Services at ChristianaCare. RN will work at both the Newark and Wilmington locations.
Our VIR team allows ChristianaCare to meet the comprehensive stroke center requirements with our work on HVIS stroke codes. In addition, we support trauma services with our interventional capabilities. The RN also supports services at our Wilmington location to allow for continuity of care of those patients as well. The VIR RN job responsibilities are:
- Prep review prior to procedures
- Moderate sedation administration
- Nursing care of outpatients to critical care patients
- Scrub duties to assist the physician
- Anesthesia support as applicable
- Monitoring hemodynamics and documentation
Vascular Interventional Radiology performed over 5,000 last year. We perform cutting edge procedures that cater to a wide variety of populations. Education and Requirements:
- BSN required; or commitment to obtaining within three years of date of hire.
- BLS and ACLS required.
- At least two years of experience in Critical Care required.
- Moderate sedation experience preferred.
The successful candidate may be eligible for a $10,000 sign on bonus to be paid over a period of 12 months.
