You.
You bring your body, mind, heart and spirit to your work as a Medical Physicist.
Your compassion is tangible: patients feel it in the hand they hold. Families feel it in your prayers. Colleagues feel it in your support.
Youâ™re comfortable in a busy and dynamic clinical environment and find reward in putting patient safety and treatment quality above all else.
Youâ™re great at what you do, but you want to be part of something even greater. Because you believe that while individuals can be strong, the right team is invincible.
Us.
The SCL Hospital System is seeking an ABR Certified Medical Physicist for an upcoming opening in the Denver/Boulder area. The physicist will join a growing team of 12 physicians, 8 physicists (including you), and 6 dosimetrists that cover 3 hospitals in the Denver Metro Area â“ all within a 30-minute drive of each other. Documentation, EMR, and QA processes are uniform across all 3 facilities, and there is rarely travel required between centers within a working day. The hospitals are currently equipped with all Varian linacs including five TrueBeams (two of them Edges) and a Novalis Tx. Construction has already commenced to add a third TrueBeam Edge in early 2023. A world class Brachytherapy Suite will open later this year to support a busy HDR program that runs the gamut of treatments including interstitial prostate and gyn, tandem and ring, and vaginal cylinder and is serviced by a new Bravos afterloader. A robust frameless SRS program using VisionRT treats a variety of cranial diseases from brain metastasis to trigeminal neuralgia. Our Eclipse treatment planning system is complemented with the full armamentarium of software including RapidPlan, MCO, HyperArc, and Velocity. Aria v15.6 is the record and verify and the entire system is centralized and Citrix-based. Eclipse is supported by software from Radformation including ClearCheck, ClearCalc, EZ Fluence, and AutoContour. Tools for QA include a full suite of Sun Nuclear detector arrays, Varian Portal Dosimetry, and two PTW Beamscans. More than the sum of our fun technology, we are a patient-centered physics group interested in facilitating patient education, and informing process improvement with incident reporting.
We are seeking a candidate that is experienced and comfortable in a busy and varied clinical environment, puts patients first, enjoys supporting a team, but is comfortable working independently. The ideal candidate would embrace the opportunity to perform almost every special procedure under the Medical Physics Sun utilizing cutting edge equipment and software.
Join our skilled, dedicated, and friendly physics team in the shadows of the Rocky Mountains!
Saint Joseph Hospital is part of SCL Health, a faith-based, nonprofit healthcare organization that focuses on person-centered care.
