Summary:
Oversees the daily receiving, distribution and/or warehouse functions in accordance. Manages assigned Central Processing staff performing daily receiving, distribution and warehouse functions. Provides guidance and support to ascertain tasks are performed by staff in a productive, organized and efficient manner. Assures quality and respectful service to our department customers and vendors.
 
Responsibilities:
1.Provides supervisory oversight and guidance to assigned staff, performs other lead functions including but not limited to staff selection and hiring, and conducting interim / annual performance appraisals.
2.Establishes work assignments assuring task coverage in all areas of operation.
3.Receiving Supervisor: Assure timely and accurate receipt of goods at receiving docks including documentation in Infor by assigned staff. Manages to Standard Work Instructions (SWI) product overages and shortages, product deliveries not matching PO detail, and packages received without PO numbers and packing lists.
4.Warehouse Supervisor: Establish and maintain optimal PAR location cycle processing, inclusive of bin labelling, staging of product for delivery, adjustment of bin quantities to optimal levels, and modification of PAR cycle count days and times for optimal customer satisfaction and SCM productivity
5.Warehouse Supervisor: Assures the timely and efficient retrieval, filling, staging and returning of Kanban bins, inclusive of the labelling of bins, adjustment of bin quantities to optimal levels, and modification of pick-up / delivery routes and days / times for greatest customer satisfaction and SCM productivity.
6.Supports procurement of replenishment inventory stock and assists with inventory control of all warehoused inventory supplies including management of recalls, obsolete product, inventory additions and substitutions.
7.Collects and reports operational metrics necessary for the efficient management of receiving and warehouse activities, presents data to SCM Team members and leadership.
8.Maintains fundamental understanding of medical and non-medical products, enabling the incumbent to interact with Supply Chain staff, nursing and other Supply Chain Customers.
9.Responds to inquiries and emergent calls when warehouse is not operational and as otherwise required.
10.Presents best practice ideas to SCM Leadership and assists in implementing approved process changes. Documents Standard Work Instructions (SWI) for appropriate warehouse tasks.
11.Interface with organizations department leadership and personnel to receive and present operation improvement initiatives and to collaborate to resolve issues.
12.Other duties as required.
 
Technical Expertise
1.Experience in warehousing, inventory control, and automated material handling systems is required.
2.Experience in logistics is required.
3.Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
4.Experience in healthcare is preferred.
5.Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. Materials management information systems (MMIS) is required.
Education and Experience
1.Education: Bachelor's degree. Relevant experience in place of degree considered.
2.Certification: None.
3.Years of relevant experience: Minimum three (3) years.
4.Years of experience supervising: 0 to 2 years.
