Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, shifts will vary, 3 days a week, 20 hours per week
You Will Be Responsible For:
Coordinates exercise program including referral proceedings, scheduling, program planning and exercise supervision to achieve the goals of the Rehabilitation Department, patient/client and Physician.
Provides appropriate documentation of all proceedings to ensure program quality and meet hospital and department standards. Also records additional pertinent information in notes and other appropriate forms at time of occurrence.
Performs and interprets the results of the physiological assessment accurately. Recognizes high-risk individuals and designs/refers appropriate exercise prescription.
Maintains patient/client safety by explaining and demonstrating correct exercise technique and equipment use, closely supervising all activities and discontinuing patient’s exercise if condition warrants.
Educates and leads wellness participants and community members in all wellness related topics and exercise classes
What You Will Need:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science or related field
Entry-level professional competency of Exercise Physiology theory, principles and applications as defined in competencies departmental policy and commitment to patient-oriented practice
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
The Exercise Therapist/Exercise Physiologist Provides direct and indirect services to specific age groups in the Outpatient Rehabilitation and Wellness Centers. Utilizes process improvement in achieving the goals of the Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine Department. Adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies, and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
