You Will Be Responsible For:
Performs a daily reconciliation of payments and adjustments posted against sign-in sheet, encounter forms, and Athena correcting any discrepancies prior to daily close,
Prepares bank deposits on a daily basis,
Current knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding applications.
Coordinates necessary copying and printing for the department,
Maintains a history log regarding equipment and service needs,
Organizes and maintains department filing system,
Distributes department mail.
Greets patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner,
Appropriately answers the phone, directs calls and takes messages,
Maintains a pleasant, caring attitude when greeting guests and patients,
Coordinates Clinic appointments in a timely manner,
Works collaboratively with Leadership to provide accurate and timely projects.
What You Will Need:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
1 to 2 Years of Position-Related Experience
The Lead Customer Service Specialist is responsible for being an effective multi-task oriented individual whose job functions include answering incoming phone calls, greeting individuals coming into the clinic, checking patients in the computer, collecting applicable co-pay, deductibles and/or coinsurance amounts from patients; post payments; scheduling appointments and/or follow-up appointments; making new patient folders. Responsible for supervision of daily front staff activity and makes necessary adjustments to front office work assignments when necessary. Provides daily work supervision, training and orientation of front office staff. Oversees necessary physician scheduling changes and communication of changes to staff. This position works in conjunction with the Office Manager and reports to the Office Manager. Other duties and responsibilities may from time to time be required of the Lead CSS
