Monday thru Friday 8 to 4:30. 2 days per week in the office, 3 days per week remote
You Will Be Responsible For:
Develop, implement, and maintain ongoing training program for Cerner and front end voice recognition program for clinicians, ancillary departments, physicians, mid-levels, and their staff. Develop training manuals, provide computer based training, and identify and coordinate education classes.
Facilitate required informatics training and serve as a resource throughout the facility including monitoring help desk tickets and serving as the facility security liaison.
Collaborate with other departments as necessary to meet educational needs.
Participate in user groups and conference calls as appropriate.
Respond to Cerner and front end voice recognition issues as soon as possible, taking appropriate steps to resolve in a timely manner.
Work with Clinical Informatics Director to assist in preparing policies and procedures, training materials, and providing any necessary information to physicians and clinicians (including downtime and recovery procedures).
Maintain working knowledge of organization activities, applications, concepts and operations procedures.
Assist Informatics Optimization Specialist with optimization projects.
Communicate suggestions, criticisms and questions to Clinical Informatics Director.
Assist with pilot programs and any post implementation project.
Rotate call with other Informatics Specialists in the department.
What You Will Need:
Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing required.
Two year degree required with appropriate licensure in the State of North Carolina required.
Possess a minimum of 6 months of computer related experience and be familiar with Microsoft Office products, required.
Must have some experience teaching adult learners, required.
RN or LPN preferred
Integrate clinical skills, computer science and information science to identify, acquire, preserve, manage, retrieve, aggregate, analyze and transmit information to make it meaningful and useful to clinical practice, administration and the expansion of nursing and other clinical knowledge. This includes the development, evaluation, adaptation, and customization of applications, tools, processes and structures that support clinical practice.
