Work Hours/Shift: Monday - Friday 8am-4pm; on call while off shift
You Will Be Responsible For:
Demonstrates through behavior AdventHealth's core values of Integrity, Care, Balance, Excellence, Stewardship, and Teamwork.
Responsible for orienting, training, disciplining, and evaluating personnel in accordance to personnel policy and employee relations laws. Reviews employee time and attendance and monitors employee staffing, turnover, overtime, and absenteeism.
Responsible for fiscal management of the transportation operation including development and implementation of annual budget, cost management and accounts payable.
Maintains the safe and efficient operation of the transportation department by monitoring equipment safety, overseeing vendors, and making appropriate recommendations for new equipment vehicles. Investigates and responds appropriately to all complaints and takes effective corrective action and involves the appropriate parties as necessary.
Reviews and prepares statistical reports and submits to the corporate office as well as other hospital departments on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Generates reports for Interdepartmental Transfer of Transportation costs to the appropriate cost centers.
Performs a wide range of duties in support of the total department.
Demonstrates the capability to communicate effectively with patients ranging in age from adulthood through geriatrics.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Minimum of 6 months of supervisory experience
Thorough knowledge of transportation operations in the service area
Knowledge of the tourism area
Aptitude for strong organizational skills
Ability to work with people of various backgrounds
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalency, College Degree preferred
Experience in management and/or Centra Care operations preferred
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
Must maintain current CPR certification at all times. If certification is not current at time of hire, the employee must obtain a valid card within their first ninety days
Valid State of Florida Class “E” license
Three year safe record with appropriate licensing
The Transportation Supervisor who under the general direction of the Director(s), has responsibility and accountability for directing all activities related to transportation of patients. Responsible for personnel, environmental/material control, and supervising all activities of the transportation department. Coordinates operating activities with other departments and centers as necessary. Fills in for the Center Manager or Assistant Manager in their absence. Must be able to be “on-call” for all transportation issues.
Adheres to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. This position actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
