You Will Be Responsible For:
Manages the Security Team of over 30 associates at 3 locations.
Ensures Staff are reasonably well trained and competent to deal with the inherent risk involved in hospital security.
Manages the Armed Security Program at SMH.
Develops associates and provides opportunities for staff to learn and grow.
Ensures adequate security staffing at all 3 locations on a 24 / 7 basis.
Actively seek and pursue opportunities to improve performance.
Addresses issues regarding service quickly and efficiently.
Anticipating and addressing the needs of customers.

Law Enforcement or Security Experience
BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association
IAHSS Advanced (CAHSO)
IAHSS Supervisor (CHSS)
Valid Driver’s License
The Security Manager overseeing administration/support participates in developing the Security Management Plan. This position develops and maintains relationships with local police departments, Homeland Security, and other area hospital security departments. The Security Manager will oversee security investigations in a legal and ethical manner. This position recommends improvement and security counter measures to the Director, Environmental Services & Security.
The Security Manager is responsible for hospital staff training of new hires and the security of the Home Health staff. This position monitors and controls the security budget. This position manages the electronic physical security elements including, CCTV, Alarms, Access Control and radio communication. The Security Manager monitors time and attendance. The Security Manager maintains the Daily Activity Log, Perspective Report System. The Security Manager compiles data and reports on the activity of the Security department to Administration and other hospital committees as directed. The Security Manager performs Security assessments and the annual security review and develops quality improvement initiatives to improve outcomes. He or she participates in, and keeps minutes from, the WPV and TART committees.
The Security Manager overseeing operations, manages daily operations including Officers (armed and unarmed), and Shift Supervisors in a manner that complies with applicable laws including use of force issues. This position develops staffing, scheduling and patrol patterns. The Security Manager manages labor hours using VISIONWARE. He or She is responsible for training, documentation and keeping records of all training. The Security Manager participates in all aspects of the Emergency Management Program and supervises associates engaged in Emergency Management. The Security Manager oversees associate engagement as measured by our Gallup scores. The Security Manager will manage personnel who are engaged in special assignments within the Security Services Department. This includes but is not limited to the Valet Service, Lost & Found, Vehicle Maintenance, Haz-Mat Security Team, Field Training Program, Law Enforcement & Intelligence Liaison officer.
