Legacy is looking for its first VP of Finance and Controller. We are a fast-growing, private equity-backed, Alabama-based Hospice provider, providing compassionate care to the individuals, families and communities we serve. The right fit is someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment focused on data-based, compliance-first decisions. As part of a small leadership team, they will also provide candid opinions grounded in their education and experiences – and eye for doing things the right way the first time.
Roles and Responsibilities
Serve as Legacy’s rock when it comes to accounting controls, financial compliance and best practice
Responsible for timely and accurate accounting and financial reporting
Directly manage accounts receivable, accounts payable and asset management processes and staff
Work with finance and accounting staff to build and maintain branch budgets and P&Ls
Collaborate with CFO on improvement and reporting of FP&A
Support Senior leadership on M&A activities
Provide insight and innovation on streamlining processes, reporting and continued professionalization of the company financial and accounting roles.
Assist revenue cycle team with A/R analysis and accountability
Multi-site operation experience
Progressive Experience managing Accounting Process and Staff
Knowledge of healthcare business, regulatory and reimbursement environments a plus
MS-Office, especially Excel
Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains or other similar ERP
