KEY FUNCTIONS AND EXPECTED PERFORMANCES
- Demonstrates high level of skill and experience managing product features and functionality to support customers. Has working knowledge of assigned product(s) relationship to other institutional products and systems within which the assigned product(s) work to facilitate business workflow.
- Fully aware of product roadmaps and lifecycle and its implications on the business.
- Demonstrates mastery of incident management, tracking, and problem reporting and resolution. Identifies, tracks, solves, and reports problems of a complex nature. Assures that the proper people receive problem reports as soon as detected.
- Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully delivering incident tracking and problem reports and services without requiring support or instruction from others.
- Able to train and educate by setting the example, giving technical instruction, providing leadership, mentoring and generally raising the level of performance of others.
- Proactively identifies, analyzes, and develops solutions to complex clinical, operational, and technical issues. Participates in optimization efforts. May lead projects and delegate tasks. Successfully handles complex technical support issues.

EPIC SPECIFIC
- Oversee build and implementation of Security files within all Epic environments and maintain policies and procedures for access to all Epic environments
- Creating all new users in Epic including employees, contractors, students, and external providers
- Build and maintain all other EMP records including Templates and Background Users
- Coordinating with the Training and Application teams to make sure the required training has been completed and the user has passed their proficiency exam before access is changed or granted
- Working with Application Teams when they need to determine the implications of a desired change (whether it will affect more than the intended user group)
- Build and maintain Security Master Files
- Data Courier Security INIs from POC to other environments as requested by application groups if appropriately approved and coordinated
- Consult with Users & Security workgroup members to determine best and appropriate way to provided needed access to users throughout the enterprise.
- Gatekeeper to ensure that Epic system access is limited to only those people who are approved to have it
- Create documentation to share with other Users & Security Coordinator team members for ongoing support.
- Coordinating with the HelpDesk to make sure processes are being followed when logging Epic and other product support calls
- Coordinating with VSA (Vanderbilt Security Administrators) with a viable process for requesting Epic access to be setup or terminated
- Must attain certification if it hasn't been acquired already
