The Togus VA Healthcare System located in Augusta, ME is searching for BE/BC Family Medicine/Internal Medicine Physicians to join their dynamic healthcare team.
Positions are located at the VA Medical Center in Augusta and at our Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) located in Caribou, ME, Saco Maine and Bangor Maine
The VA offers a unique care team structure - the Primary Aligned Care Team (PACT). The Primary Care Staff provider has responsibility for working alongside their PACT in providing primary care to a defined panel of patients. The provider will serve on a PACT with an assigned Registered Nurse (Nurse Care Manager), Licensed Practical Nurse, and Advanced Medical Support Assistant.
This team works in unison to manage the health of the PACT's panel, striving for access, continuity of care and quality of care. At the Caribou CBOC physicians will benefit from the partnership of robust mental health services, social workers, clinical pharmacy specialists, and registered dieticians. Sometimes it takes a team and VA providers know they are not alone in their mission to deliver outstanding care to their patients.
Salary Range: Up to $225,000 per year

The selected candidate may be eligible for student loan repayment through the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP). Participation is based on funds availability.
Citizenship: Citizen of the United States (Noncitizens may be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens.
Education: Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed. Approved schools are:

Licensure: A Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
Physical Standards: All applicants must meet the physical requirements established for this position.
English Language Proficiency: Must be proficient in spoken and written English.
