Position Summary: The Inpatient Unit Manager is responsible for assuring that inpatient care services are delivered in compliance with state, federal and all regulatory agencies and in accordance with hospice philosophy and concepts of care and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the inpatient unit. The Inpatient Unit Manager supervises the facility staff and upholds the mission, goals and values of HOCF at all times.
Position Qualifications: Associate degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred. Current Registered Nurse license in North Carolina required. Minimum of 2 years in health care management and supervisory experience in a healthcare setting required. Hospice experience preferred. Strong leadership abilities and demonstrated effective management skills, ability to communicate and organize effectively. Understanding of hospice and palliative care reimbursement, state and federal regulations that govern the provision of hospice services, including Medicare/Medicaid and 3rd party reimbursement, licensure, certification and accreditation standards.
